JFE Shoji Kohnan Steel Center Goes Bowling

JFE Shoji Kohnan Steel Center’s labor union organized a bowling tournament at Kobe Rokko Bowl in Kobe City on February 23. The 40 employees and their family members were split into 10 teams of 4 players each. Participants bowled to post the highest individual total score over two games, hoping to win fabulous prizes that included an Apple Watch, tablet, and gift certificates.
The prizes were awarded based on a lottery format, with participants drawing lots in order from the highest to lowest individual score. The prize winners were only announced after the last participant drew their lot, creating a feeling of suspense and a lot of excitement in the venue. At the reception that followed, new employees introduced themselves and communicated with veterans and managers alike, fostering meaningful exchanges between employees of all experience levels and departments.
This was the company’s first bowling tournament in nine years, and many employees expressed their desire to hold such activities on a regular basis as a way to promote more interaction among employees.
