JFE Group Employees Take Part in Second 2023 Chiyoda City Cleanup

Thirty-two volunteers from six JFE Shoji Group companies participated in the second 2023 Chiyoda City Cleanup, organized on November 9 by the local government.
The participants gathered at the Shin-Otemachi Building at 7:50 a.m. After JFE Shoji Service’s President Fumio Takahashi provided some opening remarks, they split up into three crews and began working. For about forty minutes they tidied up the neighborhood where the Shin-Otemachi Building, Tokiwa Bridge (formerly the J-Shoji Building), and many JFE Shoji Group companies are located, picking up a lot of cigarette butts, empty cans and other trash.
After the cleanup session, the participants enjoyed coffee and juice at the Green Cafe on the ninth floor of the Shin-Otemachi Building while socializing with other participants.
One participant said: “Getting up early was hard, but being able to clean up the city I work in made for a very pleasant morning.” The JFE Shoji Group as a whole will continue to pursue social contribution activities like this cleanup and raise awareness of environmental beautification.
