JFE Shoji Electronics Takes Second at Otemachi Intercompany Long Jump Rope Competition
JFE Shoji Group company JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation participated in the fourth Otemachi Intercompany Long Jump Rope Competition on October 19 and took second place. The competition was part of the Tokyo Sankei Building Autumn Festival 2023 event held from October 16 to 31 at the Tokyo Sankei Building, the flagship building of The Sankei Building Co., Ltd. Teams from twelve companies vied in the contest.
JFE Shoji Electronics competed in the event to promote employee interaction. Such opportunities for internal get-togethers have become few and far between due to the change in workstyles brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic. At the event, teams of ten people competed to see how many consecutive jumps they could make in five minutes. The JFE Shoji Electronics team was comprised of young, mid-career and veteran members representing different generations, and their valiant effort won them second place despite not having much time to practice. The employees who came out to cheer them on also got excited, fostering a sense of unity.
One team member said: “It’s great that we were able to place second, and we were so close to winning it all. I hope we can try again!” A supporter added: “It was fun to see how serious the team was about the competition. I haven’t been that excited in quite some time!” The teamwork that JFE Shoji Electronics has always valued as a member of the electronics industry—in which constant evolution is required—was on full display. The company will continue to boost teamwork through events like this.
