New Logistics DX Product Addresses “2024 Problem”

JFE Shoji Electronics Corporation will launch a tracking solution paired with GPS devices in spring 2024 as part of its logistics DX initiatives.
The so-called 2024 problem is an urgent issue that focuses on labor shortages in the logistics industry. In fact, JFE Shoji Electronics employees have expressed a strong desire to improve work times and the efficiency of trailer operations.
Visualization based on data is essential for understanding and addressing this issue, and the new service does just that. GPS devices can be attached to trailers and other vehicles as well as to pallets and other logistics equipment. By using the service to provide drivers with more precise location information, we expect to reduce the time they spend searching in yards. In addition, the collected data can easily be viewed on computers and smartphones via a web app, providing users with a quick overview of work time.
The JFE Group established the JFE Group Environmental Vision for 2050 to work on achieving carbon neutrality by 2050, and this service is an initiative that leverages logistics DX to reduce CO2 emissions and ties that into achieving carbon neutrality. JFE Shoji Electronics will continue to pursue the realization of a sustainable society and strive to solve customer problems and global issues.
