Group member company Kawasho Foods Corporation held its family sale at the Shin-Otemachi Building on July 14. This direct sales event, which the company typically holds once in the summer and once in winter, took place for the first time in four years. At the event, the company sells its products such as Nozaki corned beef and its sparkling wines.
This time, along with its ever-popular favorites such as Nozaki corned beef, honey and wine, Kawasho offered various goods sold on Food Bazaar, the online food shop it operates exclusively for JFE Group employees. For the first time ever, for example, the sales counters were lined with JA Yubari melons as well as shochu, liqueurs and other alcoholic beverages from Inoue Shuzo, headquartered in Nichinan City, Miyazaki Prefecture, which Kawasho Foods has just started dealing with. A greater variety of wines and other products were set out this time, including products exclusive to the family sale.
The event was split into day and evening sessions, with sake tastings at the latter attracting many people. Eventgoers made comments such as “I’m so glad the event was held again after so many years!” and “I’m happy that I was able to buy corned beef and honey” as they filled their shopping baskets.
