Nagoya Office Volunteers Clean Up Park and Enjoy a Barbecue!

The JFE Shoji Labor Union’s Nagoya-Tokai branch organized a cleanup and barbecue on June 24 to raise awareness of CSR among union members and promote communication among them, and deepen mutual understanding between their families and the company. Forty-two people—including JFE Shoji Group employees working at the Nagoya Office and their family members—cleaned up Shonai Ryokuchi Park. The barbecue also took place at the park.
The event allowed employees to communicate with people they have little or no contact with during their usual working day, and also crossed company, departmental and generational barriers. This was a great opportunity to rebuild the sense of unity that had weakened during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Having the families of employees participate, including children, helped them deepen their understanding of our company’s culture and the working environment of our employees. Both the employees and their families clearly enjoyed the event. We hope to continue such activities to promote communication next year and beyond.
