A company we’ve invested in—Perusahaan Sadur Timah Malaysia (PERSTIMA) Berhad—held an in-person Group meeting in Kuala Lumpur on August 29 with its subsidiaries PERSTIMA (Vietnam) Co., Ltd. and PERSTIMA (Philippines), Inc. The periodic meetings prior to this, covering topics like the Group’s recent performance and its medium to long-term strategies, had been held virtually.
The meeting featured a lively exchange on how to avoid redundancy between the Group’s locations and achieve more efficient operations in the export business, which is a prime focus of the PERSTIMA Group. The meeting was extremely meaningful, since it provided an opportunity to discuss the concrete issues each the Group’s locations faces and to foster deeper communication within the Group.At the networking event, Special Advisor Kume also participated, and we reported on the discussions held between the groups during the day's meetings.

Together with the PERSTIMA Group, the JFE Shoji Group will continue to focus on communication as we take on challenges and expand earnings, even in the tough current business environment.
