The Head Office hosted the eleventh annual JFE Shoji Family Day on August 20, with ninety-three employees and their family members participating. The twin goals for this activity are to deepen mutual understanding between the family members of employees and the company and to create a better workplace atmosphere.

The event had two parts: the children’s program, and the boardroom visit and office tour. During the first half, participants learned about the workday of JFE Shoji employees, crafted props to use when taking commemorative photos later, and joined in a quiz contest about steel.
The second half started with a greeting from President and CEO Toshinori Kobayashi before commemorative photos were taken, prominently featuring the props crafted earlier. The annual boardroom visit came next, including participants exchanging business cards with the directors. During the office tour, the children collected stickers placed throughout the office while interacting with the employees.
At the end of the event, the participants tried their hand at the handmade toss game the Human Resources Department created, receiving assortments of sweets as prizes. They also received gift certificates from Kawasho Foods, one of our Group companies.

The office was full of smiles during the event, and comments from the children who participated included “It was fun learning how steel is used all around us!” and “I enjoyed exchanging business cards!”

The JFE Shoji Group will continue to plan similar activities to deepen understanding of our company, value the families of employees, and foster a pleasant workplace environment.
