On August 26, the JFE Shoji Nagoya Office held its first-ever Family Day, drawing twenty-seven employees and family members. The event is meant to deepen mutual understanding between the company and the families of employees as well as to foster a more favorable workplace atmosphere.

The event started at 11 a.m. with an orientation, followed by an overview of the company, a quiz contest about steel, and commemorative photos and greetings from the general managers of each branch. Later on, during an office tour, the children participating got acquainted with various employees by exchanging business cards that they created themselves. The participants then enjoyed having lunch in the Nagoya Office’s reception and conference rooms. At the end of the event, the children received candy assortments to take home.

One employee who participated said: “The event increased my family’s understanding of the company and my work, so I think I’ll be able to work even harder now!” Others expressed their hope that the event will take place again next year.
