The JFE Shoji Beach Rugby Club took the field in the Beach Rugby Japan Tour 2024 Kanto Tournament on July 27 and 28. Organized by the Japan Beach Rugby Association, the tournament took place at Shonan Bellmare Hiratsuka Beach Park in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Ninety-six teams from across the Kanto region competed. That number included a couple of JFE Shoji teams with a total of thirty-three players: Save the PINK, led by Kimaru Mizuto from Sheet & Strip Section No. 1; and the Billet Slabs, led by Honami Sasaki of the Automotive Steel Section. Both teams managed to win through the first round, but were unfortunately knocked out in the second.

Yuuri Shibata from the Stainless & Special Steel Section —the team manager of the Billet Slabs—said about their future ambitions: “We look forward to leveraging the experience we gained at this tournament into becoming a stronger team.”
