Osaka Office Holds Second Family Day
The JFE Shoji Osaka Office held its second Family Day on July 25, drawing twenty-nine office employees and their family members. This event is meant to deepen mutual understanding between the company and the families of employees and to foster a favorable workplace atmosphere.
Once again, Osaka Office general manager Shinji Kitajima made welcoming placards bearing the names of their children, which were displayed at the office entrance.
The event had two parts: the junior seminar and the junior workplace tour. During the junior seminar, the children learned about employees’ daily work schedules and the business of a trading company, and also had fun with a quiz contest about steel. The session included a crafting activity where they decorated tin cans from one of our business partners with their own original designs.
The junior workplace tour began with a greeting from general manager Kitajima. The children took commemorative photos and went on a tour of the workplace. During the tour, they collected stickers placed across the office, while exchanging business cards and interacting with employees.
One child who participated commented: “I was shocked at how clean the office was, and how big the conference rooms were. I was excited to see my name written on a placard at the entrance!” Another said: “I was so happy when I found my dad working. The quiz and crafting activity were also fun!” Family members said that the event had increased their understanding of the company’s work.
The JFE Shoji Group values the ties between its employees and their families, and will continue to foster favorable workplace environments.
