Social Contribution Activities—This Fiscal Year’s First Adachi Special Education School Bake Sale Practical Training Session
JFE Shoji Corporation and JFE Shoji Service Corporation invited Tokyo Metropolitan Adachi Special Education School students to the JFE Shoji Tokyo Head Office on June 13 for a bake sale practical training session. The event has been a part of the JFE Shoji Group’s social contribution activities since FY2021. Five bake sales are scheduled during this fiscal year at the Head Office and at the Shin-Otemachi Building, which is home to a number of JFE Shoji Group companies.
The students handled every aspect of the event, including bringing in and arranging the baked goods, sterilizing the trays, and working the cash registers. Since these bake sales are a social contribution activity that is particularly popular with employees, a long line formed before the event began, and the 350 or so items offered sold out within 30 minutes.
The JFE Shoji Group will continue to provide work experience opportunities that help children gain confidence, discover new possibilities, and participate in society, contributing to a more sustainable, diverse and inclusive society.
