JFE Shoji Steel Hai Phong Co., Ltd. (JSHP) held its company trip over three days from June 12. This year’s excursion, which drew eighty-seven employees, saw the group travel to the northern reaches of Vietnam before crossing the border into China. The latter was the result of many employee requests for a foreign destination.

The group spent the first day in Móng Cái on Vietnam’s northern border with China. On the second and third days, they visited Dongxing in China, which is just over the border.

Dongxing is a naturally beautiful city with an international atmosphere thanks to its thriving trade and exchanges with Móng Cái. The culture and traditions of the local Zhuang people remain strong there, since Dongxing is part of the Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. The highlights of this trip were the natural beauty of the region, learning about the lifestyle and culture of the Zhuang people, and experiencing a variety of fun activities.

Rafting was particularly popular, evident from the sound of participants’ laughter and splashing water. Everyone had a wonderful time creating unforgettable memories. At dinner, the group enjoyed special Zhuang dishes made with sticky rice, as well as dishes made with seasonings unique to Zhuang cuisine. They also deepened their fellowship by playing games together.

This company trip provided employees with a valuable opportunity to forge stronger bonds, gain new insights that cannot be obtained through everyday work, and reaffirm the importance of teamwork.
