JSSP’s Teambuilding Activity

On March 29, JFE Shoji Steel Philippines, Inc. (JSSP) hosted its third teambuilding activity, this time at the Batangas Lakelands resort in Balete, Batangas. This annual activity is meant to strengthen unity and camaraderie among JSSP employees.
The eighty-four participants were grouped into five teams: Red, Blue, Yellow, Orange, and Green. Each team wore visors matching their team color.
The program started with a cheering competition, during which each team showed their spirit and energy. That was followed by a series of challenges designed to test teamwork, including “the human knot,” tower building, and wall climbing.
After all the challenges were completed, the Orange team was named this year’s champion in recognition of their superior teamwork and strategy. A birthday party took place after that for the fourteen employees with March birthdays.
The event concluded with a heartfelt tribute to JSSP’s then-President and CEO Hiroki Okamoto, who returned to Japan at the end of March to become the Human Resources Department general manager at JFE Shoji, as well as honoring then-Director Ronaldo Morales, who retired at the end of the March. The two were featured in a special video presentation that employees helped to make.
JSSP will continue to strengthen unity and camaraderie between employees to ensure an even more welcoming workplace environment.
