History

As of October 1st, 2004, JFE Shoji Group which consisted of JFE Shoji Trade, Kawasho Foods, Kawasho Semiconductor, Kawasho Real Estate was established and these four companies were placed under the umbrella of JFE Shoji Holdings.
JFE Shoji Trade Corporation was born through the merger between Kawasho Corporation and NKK Trading to handle steel & steel peripheral business as core trading house of JFE Group. Kawasho Foods, Kawasho Semiconductor, Kawasho Real Estate were established through a company split-up, becoming operating subsidiaries of JFE Shoji Holdings.

As of April, 2012, JFE Shoji Trade Corporation performed an absorption-type merger of JFE Shoji Holdings in order to develop a speedy and agile group management through a more efficient structure with JFE Shoji Trade as its core.

Moreover, as of October, 2012, JFE Shoji Trade became a wholly owned subsidiary of JFE Holdings to utilize JFE Shoji Trade’s marketing-related functions for the benefit of the entire JFE Group and to strengthen and streamline the whole group’s steel business supply chain.

September, 2002 Establishment of JFE Holdings Inc.
April, 2003 Establishment of JFE Steel Corporation.
December, 2003 Announcement of the merger between Kawasho Corporation and NKK Trading.
August, 2004 Establishment of JFE Shoji Holdings Inc.
Kawasho Corporation and NKK Trading became 100% subsidiaries.
October, 2004 Establishment of JFE Shoji Trade Corporation
Split-up foods, semiconductors, real estates division of Kawasho Corporation.
And the merger of steel related departments of Kawasho Corp and NKK Trading.
April, 2012 Dissolution of JFE Shoji Holdings Inc.
JFE Shoji Trade became a parent company of other JFE Shoji Holdings’ subsidiaries.
October, 2012 JFE Shoji Trade became wholly owned subsidiary of JFE Holdings, Inc.
November, 2012 Tokyo head office moved into Otemachi Financial City North Tower.
From January to February, 2013 JFE Group Companies moved into JFE Shoji Buildings.
