JFE Shoji Trade Corporation (president: Mikio Fukushima) has announced that JFE Shoji Trade Shanghai and JFE Shoji Trade Guangzhou will take over the operations of JFE Shoji's Shanghai and Guangzhou representative offices respectively. The change will become effective on April 1.
Reasons for integration
JFE Shoji Trade has thus far maintained a representative office and a local company in both Shanghai and Guangzhou. However, the company has decided to integrate these operations into a single company in each city to improve efficiency by eliminating overlaps in terms of organization or corporate functions. At the same time, the company also aims to expand the scope of its business in Shanghai and Guangzhou by strengthening the functions of its local companies in China to boost its capacity for business involving third countries.
